Center Kosuke Takeuchi, one of Japan's up-and-coming basketball standouts, will next play for the Aisin Seahorses, the JBL announced. Takeuchi, who turned 22 in January, played college ball at Keio University.

The 205-cm, 90-kg standout starred for Japan at the 2006 FIBA World Championship. A scrappy defender with a nice outside game, Takeuchi can also attack the hole and dunk, which has made him popular with fans young and old.

In a memorable duel against his twin brother and fellow national team player Joji and Tokai University in January's national tournament, Kosuke had 32 points and 22 rebounds, but Joji's club won 97-82 in that headline-grabbing showdown.

Joji, who could follow suit and join a JBL club in the near future, had 12 points and 20 boards in the aforementioned Battle of the Twins.
