    TURIN (Coppa Italia) - Montepaschi remained on course for a third success Coppa Italia triumph by winning their opening game of season's edition in Turin against Scavolini Siviglia Pesaro.
     
    Simone Pianigiani's side prevailed 81-68, but they didn't take control of the contest until midway through the final quarter.
     
    The Siena club trailed 55-53 early in the fourth period following a basket by Scavolini point guard Daniel Hackett.
     
    David Moss replied with a three-pointer and then scored inside the arc to spark a 13-2 run for Mens Sana, and they blew the game wide open the rest of the way.
     
    When it was over, Moss had hit three of his four shots from behind the arc and seven of eight overall.
     
    Next up will be a clash with Fabi Shoes Montegranaro, who prevailed 82-73 over Virtus Bologna.
     
    Bulgarian international Dejan Ivanov had 24 points and nine rebounds for Montegranaro.
     
    On Friday, Bennet Cantù meet Angelico Biella and Air Avellino face Armani Jeans Milano.
