MILAN (Lega A) - Former Temple Owls teammates Lynn Greer and David Hawkins have been reunited at Armani Jeans Milano.

Greer, a former star at Napoli and Olympiacos, parted ways with Fenerbahce and on Sunday put pen to paper on a deal with the Italian club.

"I am delighted to be back in the Italian championship and wearing a shirt as prestigious as that of Milan,” said Greer, 31, who led Napoli to victory in the Coppa Italia in 2006.

"I had several offers from other teams that gave me the chance to play in the Euroleague, but the project of Milan and the charm of this shirt convinced me to choose Olimpia.

"I have a great desire to take the court and give my contribution to the club and give great satisfaction to the fans."

Milano were eliminated from the Euroleague at the end of the Regular Season but are in second place behind Montepaschi Siena in the Lega A.

The club has announced that guard Morris Finley has returned to the United States to get treatment for an injury but will return in three weeks.

Armani Jeans have won three straight games since the handing the coaching reins to Dan Peterson.

The 75-year-old steered the team to a 94-84 triumph over Scavolini Pesaro at the weekend.

Hawkins led Armani Jeans with 23 points.

    Sizzling Siena

Montepaschi Siena are flying high at 14-1 following a 73-67 triumph at Lottomatica Roma.

The result spoiled the coaching debut of new Roma boss Sasa Filipovski.

Lithuanian veteran Rimantas Kaukenas poured in 17 points for Mens Sana.

Third-place Bennet Cantu' crashed to an 82-65 defeat at Cimberio Varese.

Phil Goss caught fire for Varese, connecting on four of six shots from behind the arc and scoring a game-high 26 points.

Varese, who are led by former Italy coach Carlo Recalcati, improved to 7-8 and climbed to 10th.

Alarm bells are ringing at Benetton Treviso, who were destroyed at home by Caserta, 90-67.

In a horrible warm-up game for their Eurocup Last 16 opener against Alba Berlin, Benetton only trailed 41-39 at half-time but were blown out in the third quarter when Caserta outscored them 30-10.

Benetton were without key players due to injury but coach Jasmin Repesa was furious.

“What happened in the third quarter is very serious it is inconceivable at this level,” Repesa said.

“'There was no grit, no desire to recover.”

In other games, Dinamo Sassari prevailed at home over Vanoli-Braga Cremona, 83-71, second-bottom Enel Brindisi edged hosts Air Avellino, 80-79, Virtus Bologna won 62-55 at Banca Tercas Teramo and Fabi Shoes Montegranaro triumphed 62-55 at Banca Tercas Teramo.
