ITA - Giorgio Armani extends Olimpia Milano sponsorship
MILAN (Lega A) - Italian fashion magnate Giorgio Armani will sponsor Lega A club Olimpia Milano for another three seasons. Armani provides 20% of the club´s budget - the 2007-08 budget will be 8.5million euros - while also giving the name to the team - Armani Jeans Milano. "It´s a decision of continuity, of affection towards the club, the fans and the city of Milan," said Armani in a statement.

Armani joined forces with Serie A clubs Internazionale and AC Milan to come to the rescue back in 2004, when the club was struggling financially.
Milano finished runners up in the 2004-05 Lega A campaign having lost in the play-offs final against Climamio Bologna.
Milano are third in the Lega A standings with 15 wins and seven defeats.
They are seeking their first league crown since 1996.
