    ITA - Galanda turns on the style against Siena

    ROME (Lega A) - Italy captain Giacomo Galanda came up big against former team Montepaschi Siena as Whirlpool Varese knocked the Tuscans from the ranks of the unbeaten in Italy's Lega A. The 31-year-old Galanda, who took a break from international duty this summer, had 17 points and seven rebounds as Ruben Magnano's team won 76-64.

    ranks of the unbeaten in Italy's Lega A.

    The 31-year-old Galanda, who took a break from international duty this
    summer, had 17 points and seven rebounds as Ruben Magnano's team won 76-64.

    Galanda was seven of 17 from the floor, including two of three from
    three-point range.
    Rimantas Kaukenas scored 17 points in defeat for Montepaschi, who lost for
    the first time in five games.

    Vidivici Bologna will look to improve to 5-0 on the campaign on Sunday when
    they host Fortitudo in the Bologna derby.
