ROME (Lega A) - Angelico Biella upset Climamio Bologna on Sunday to level their first-round play-off showdown with the Italian league's defending champions.

The 85-76 triumph has left three Italian post-season ties at 1-1 with Roma and Armani Jeans Milano having squared their series against Montepaschi Siena and Benetton Treviso, respectively, on Saturday.

Biella set the tone early, grabbing a 23-18 lead at the end of the first quarter before extending that to 43-36 at half-time.

By the end of the third quarter, Biella were in total command at 68-49, and they cruised home over the final 10 minutes.

Joe Smith was sensational for Biella, scoring 25 points. Most of his damage was done from long range where he made six from seven attempts.

Yakhouba Diawara, Climamio's emerging small forward, erupted for 23 points in just 22 minutes. The 23-year-old was five of eight from three-point range.
