Poland international Szymon Szewczyk exploded for 34 points for Avellino, making six of 10 shots from long range and six of seven inside the arc.
Armani Jeans Milano are back on level terms with Dinamo Sassari after prevailing in Game 2 at home on Friday, 73-63.
Veteran forward Stefano Mancinelli had 17 points and David Hawkins 16 for Milano.
Benett Cantu and Montepaschi Siena each have 2-0 leads in their quarter-final series.
