Israel maintain unbeaten run as they look for immediate promotion back to Division A

    The race for promotion intensifies as the Semi-Final lineup is confirmed.

    TULCEA (Romania) - Only four teams remain in contention at the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Division B, with promotion to next summer's Division A now within touching distance.

    Israel breeze into Semi-Finals with win over Iceland

    A double-double from Maayan Gorin steered Israel to an 89-69 win over Iceland to maintain their unbeaten run in the competition.

    Gorin led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds as Israel led for most of the game, with its lead ballooning to as many as 25 points.

    Rebekka Steingrimsdottir paced Iceland with a game-high 26.

    Lithuania come from behind to shock Greece in OT thriller

    Lithuania came from 15 points down to force overtime and miraculously down previously unbeaten Greece 74-66 after a period of overtime.

    Gabija Galvanauskaite tied the game with 25 seconds left to force the extra period, and from there, they found the momentum they needed to get the better of the Greek side in the extra period, outscoring them 12-4.

    Vakare Griskute led the winners with 22 points and 3 steals. Chrysoula Vigka paced Greece with 18 points.

    Hosts overpower Bulgaria

    Hosts Romania took down Bulgaria 69-51 to punch their ticket to the last four.

    As she has done throughout the competition, Daria Ilies showed her class by leading the victors with her third double-double of the tournament. She had 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

    Fatme Kichukova amassed 12 points for Bulgaria.

    Austria deservedly beat Great Britain

    Austria shrugged off a bad start to overpower Great Britain in the second period onwards to eventually win 61-49.

    After trailing for the entire first quarter, the Austrians bounced back to take their first lead midway through the second period, which they never relinquished.

    Lara Mayr led the victors with 20 points and 4 steals. Isey Guttormsdottir-Frost had 15 points and 10 boards for Great Britain.
