    Iran - Iran's Mahram wins Asian Basketball Clubs trophy

    Iran's Mahram basketball club won the 21st Asian Champions Cup after winning Qatar's Al-Rayyan 93-73 in the final match at Al-Gharafa Indoor Stadium in Doha Sunday night. The Iranian team defeated the Astana Tigers, Dohuk, Al-Jalaa, and Smart Gilas in the group stage and then beat Al-Riyadi 71-64 in the semi-final before winning the hosts and becoming the Asian champions for the fourth time in a row.

    Mahram will now proceed to the FIBA World Club Championship, to be held in the Chinese cities of Chengdu and Nanjing in October.

    A total of 10 Asian teams, divided into two groups, participated in the tournament.
