LUANDA (FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women 2017) - Unbeaten so far at the ongoing FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women 2017, the reigning African champions InterClube will take on First Bank of Nigeria in a battle for who will top Group A on Wednesday.

Handed a wild card to the Final Phase after a dismal performance at the Zone 6 Qualifiers that saw them finish third, Apolinario Paquette's side is not taking anything for granted in front of their home fans.

With three straight wins under their belt, they will be looking to maintain the winning streak after their biggest test at the tournament so far, a familiar foe in the Bankers.

Arguably the best two point guards at the tournament will go head-to-head in InterClube poster girl Italee Lucas and Dominique Wilson of First Bank while Ivorian center Minata Fofana will have her work cut out to stop Nigerian Ndidi Madu and Filipe Ngiendula.

Talking to FIBA.basketball, InterClube head coach Paquette said: "We know that they are a strong team and we are both looking at the same objective to finish top of the group so as to face the fourth team in the other group in the Quarter-Finals but we are ready for the challenge."

Meanwhile, Ferroviario de Maputo will be up against Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in what is expected to be a closely contested Group B tie to determine who finishes second or third.
