    NEW DELHI (FIBA Asia Championship) - India beat Sri Lanka 89-35 in the final of SAARC Division qualifiers of the Middle Asia qualifiers for the FIBA Asia Championship on Friday to book their ticket to FIBA Asia’s prestigious event.

    India will thus join Lebanon, winners of the 3rd FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup, East Asia Champions Korea and SEABA’s Malaysia in Group A of the Preliminary Round of the FIBA Asia Championship that will be played in Wuhan, China, between 15 and 25 September.

    Earlier, Nepal beat Bangladesh 73-62 in the play-off for the third place.
