MUNICH (Euroleague) - Andrew Goudelock shot his way into the Turkish Airlines Euroleague history books on Thursday night when he made 10 three-pointers and led Fenerbahce Ulker to an important win at Bayern Munich.
Last season's Eurocup MVP with Unics Kazan, Goudelock connected on 10 of 13 attempts from long range en route to a game-high 34 points as Fenerbahce prevailed, 93-86.
Saulius Stombergas, American Thomas Kelati and Mirza Teletovic had each hit nine three-pointers in their Euroleague careers but no one had drilled 10 before Goudelock's explosion from the arc in the Audi Dome.
"I've been missing a lot lately," Goudelock said.
"I'm glad they started to go in tonight."
Goudelock made three of nine from long range in his first Euroleague appearance, a 77-74 home triumph over Olimpia Milano on 17 October.
In the three games that followed, during which Fener went 1-2, Goudelock was three of 13.
"It was an excellent night shooting from three, especially Goudelock who had 10 for 13," Fener coach Zeljko Obradovic said.
"That's not normal at all. We talk about taking the threes in practice and I don't know if it was because of that or motivation, but we shot excellent from three."
More important for Fener is that they improved to 3-1 in a very difficult Group C to stay hot on the heels of second-place Panathinaikos (3-1) and Barcelona (4-0), while Bayern slumped to 1-4.
Belarus center Artsiom Parakhouski, meanwhile, turned in his best-ever performance in the Euroleague on Thursday and led Nizhny Novgorod to their first road win in the competition.
The 27-year-old had 19 points and nine rebounds and was especially effective in the fourth quarter when Nizhny had to dig deep to hold off an Unics comeback attempt.
In EuroBasket 2013 qualifying campaign, Parakhouski was his team's second-leading scorer at 12.5ppg but Belarus won just two of their eight games and finished fourth behind Italy, Turkey and the Czech Republic in the toughest pool, Group F.
Parakhouski did not play this summer when Belarus came in third in Group D behind Belgium and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (MKD) in qualifying for EuroBasket 2015.
Crvena Zvezda took a big step towards the Top 16 of the Euroleague with an 86-66 rout of Laboral Kutxa in Vitoria.
The Serbian team improved to 3-2 in Group D and leapfrogged Galatasaray into second place behind Olympiacos.
Greek giants Olympiacos beat Gala, 93-66, for their fifth win in as many games.
Greece international Evangelos Mantzaris was among those to make the big plays again for the Reds and he finished with 15 points.
