Six teams from FIBA Africa Zone 6 are expected in the Zambian capital, Lusaka, to compete for two places in the Elite 16 round.

    ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - The FIBA Africa Regional Office announced on Wednesday that Group E of the 2026 Road to BAL, initially scheduled to begin on 22 October, has been rescheduled.

    The new schedule sees Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, host Group E from Monday 27 October to Saturday 1 November.

    The participating teams are hosts Matero Magic, the Johannesburg Giants from South Africa, the champions of Mozambique, Ferroviario da Beira, the Basket Hounds from Zimbabwe, the Dolphins from Botswana, and the Bravehearts Basketball Club from Malawi.

    The top two teams in Group E will secure automatic qualification for the 2026 Road to BAL Elite 16.
