Group C: History for Joventut; Holon shoot lights out in France

MIES (Switzerland) - Galatasaray MCT Technic, Dreamland Gran Canaria, and Joventut Badalona: we now have three players perfect at 3-0 in Season X of the Basketball Champions League, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.

Ricky Rubio's brilliance, Ante Tomic's all-around game, and a lot more in the black-and-green team's third dominant win in the BCL. Also, Hapoel Netanel Holon improved to 2-1 in Group C with a winning road trip in France.

Joventut Badalona 94-67 Bursaspor Basketbol

Have we already included Joventut among the main contenders for the BCL Final Four? Yes, you heard it right, because this team might be one of the best newcomer in the history of the competition.

The black-and-green team are only the third club able to win their first three games in the league with margin of 16 points of more after Unicaja in 2021 and La Laguna Tenerife in 2016.

They did so by controlling their Wednesday clash against Bursaspor Basketball from the beginning to the end, eventually winning 94-67 at home to stay unbeaten in Group A.

Having Joventut in Season X gives us the amazing opportunity of watching Ricky Rubio's magic around Europe's court once again.

The Spanish playmaker finished with 13 points and 3 dimes over just 12:51 minutes of playing time.

Ante Tomic (13 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds) was only one rebound way from becoming the first player ever combining for 10+ points, 5+ rebounds, and 5+ assists in his first three appearances in the competition.

Cameron Hunt led Joventut with a team-high of 14 points and 4 assists.

Bursaspor remained winless at 0-3 in Group A, as Artur Konontsuk's 15 points and 4 rebounds and V.J. King's 14 points and 6 boards weren't enough.

Cholet Basket 92-103 Hapoel Netanel Holon

The losing streak on French soil for Holon is over: after suffering defeats on their last three road trips to France, the purple-and-yellow team beat Cholet 103-92 at the end of an hectic game.

15 lead changes were featured in the encounter, with the Israeli team shooting 16-of-31 from deep. They're now up 2-1 in Group C, trailing only the unbeaten Joventut at 3-0.

While Holon shot 19-of-29 from the charity stripe, Jordan McRae was perfect at the free throw line (12-of-12). Overall, the American forward inspired his team's win with 24 points.

Todd Withers contributed to Holon's victory with 14 points over 3-of-8 from the perimeter. This means that he has scored three or more three-pointers in his last six apperances in the BCL.

Three other players on Danny Franco's team finished in double-digits, including Netanel Artzi with 17 points.

"It was a very high tempo game. Not really the game we planned at the beginning. Definitely we were able with a heart of determination to try to minimize their huge athletic ability. [...] My players' determination came out and did a good job. An impressive win for us," Holon's head coach commented.

For Cholet, Gerald Ayayi went close to a double-double with 13 points and 8 assists; Daylen Kountz led the French side in scoring with 15 points off the bench.
