KAYSERI (2010 FIBA World Championship) – After an exciting day 2 in Group A of the 2010 FIBA World Championship the standings looked more balanced than any other group with Argentina as the only undefeated team with a 2-0 record.

The rest of the teams have had their ups and downs, but today they will give it all to continue their journey into the Eighth Final round.

Serbia will open the day against Jordan and they will get their guard, Milos Teodosic, who was one of their leaders in the 2009 Eurobasket Championship. His experience will be needed in the later stages of the tournament.

After the double overtime thriller against Germany, where they lost 82-81, they will face Jordan who is 0-2 and had a close match against Australia and then got another loss against Angola. It is now of never for Jordan who couldn’t find the basket in the second half of the game against Angola and have to do it against a Serbian team that is one of the favorites in the group.

Germany, led by Jan Jagla, Steffen Hamann and Demond Greene will take on Australia who went down to the wire against Argentina.

The Australians improved their perimeter shooting on the second day, but need more consistency to continue their journey into the next round of the tournament. Also their inside game needs to be more consistent in order to beat a young but tough German team on defense.

The Germans continue to play in close and tough games and their ball handling in key moments have been questioned, but every time they take the court it adds more experience to their young players, who have been improving and helping the starters a bit more every time.

In the last game of the day, Argentina will have a dangerous game against Angola who, after a horrible first day, recovered and showed some signs of hope after having a good offensive performance against Jordan.

Angola went inside with their offense and paid dividends, opening the shooters so they could have their first win. A team effort, hustle on the offensive glass and a more aggressive approach with the ball will test the Argentinean defense.

Argentina has played two close matches against Germany and Australia and in order to dominate this group they will need more help offensively from their backup shooting guard, Paolo Quinteros and also from Hernan Jasen and Federico Kammerichs who have been good offensive players in the past.
