SAL T LAKE CITY (NBDL) - A player who figures to have a prominent role with Greece's national team in the future, Kostas Koufos, has been assigned to the D-League’s Utah Flash by the Utah Jazz.

The 7ft 1in Koufos will be in the Flash line-up on Friday when they host Anaheim.

Koufos has appeared in 48 games this season with the Jazz, starting in seven, and averaged 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds.

The Jazz haven't been able to get Koufos any play time of late, however, with both Andrei Kirilenko and Carlos Boozer healthy.

The rookie's last appearance was on February 17.

Koufos spent one season at Ohio State before turning professional.

Utah have recalled another center, Kyrylo Fesenko of Ukraine, from the Flash.
