ATHENS (Euroleague) - Euroleague coaches have voted Greece international Dimitris Diamantidis as the top defensive player in the competition for a fifth straight year.
The guard excelled on both ends of the floor this season as Panathinaikos booked a spot in the Final Four.
Diamantidis ranked first among Panathinaikos players in minutes, three-point accuracy and steals, second in rebounding and assists, and third in blocks.
Panathinaikos will take on Olympiacos at the Euroleague Final Four in Berlin on May 1. They won the Euroleague crown two years ago in Athens, with Diamantidis voted as the Final Four MVP.
