ATHENS (Greek Cup) – Olympiacos and Panathinaikos will square off in another Greek Cup Final after clinching victories in their last-four ties on Wednesday night.

Holding a 19-point lead after the first leg, which Olympiacos won 79-60, Dusan Ivkovic’s side rolled to an 89-61 victory over PAOK at the Peace and  Friendship Stadium.

Zoran Erceg (pictured), who may have the opportunity to return to the Serbia national team this summer at the EuroBasket in Lithuania, had 17 points for Olympiacos.

Panathinaikos booked their place despite falling 74-70 at Aris.

They had  won the first leg 87-58 in Athens.

Aris coach Sharon Drucker knew his team needed a miracle to win the tie, so his aim ahead of the second leg was for the team to win to boost confidence ahead of Eurocup Last 16 and A1 Ethniki games.

“Before the game, we told to the players to play as a team and play together,” he said.

“They showed that they had desire and determination.

“We didn’t talk about the result of the first game, we wanted to win for ourselves.

“I am very happy with our performance, especially on the defensive end.”
