    BAD KREUZNACH (German Basketball federation) - Ingo Weiss will be the president of the German Basketball Federation another four-year term. This is the result of the elections that took place at the General Assembly in Bad Kreuznach this past weekend.

    Additionally, at the first meeting of the new Central Board of FIBA Europe, Ingo Weiss was elected as the vice president, becoming a member of FIBA Europe's "Executive Committee".

    Highlighting Germany's role within European and world basketball, Weiss said: "I am very happy about the results of the elections. We are represented in the important commissions and are involved in all the important matters of European basketball. It´s a good feeling if you are rewarded for hard work on the international level."

    Weiss is also Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the FIBA U17 World Championship for Men, which will be played in Hamburg from 1st to 12th July.
