    OBERHAUSEN (EuroBasket Women) - Germany drew first blood in the battle for the last spot on offer at the EuroBasket Women with a 59-53 victory over Hungary in Sunday's first leg of the Additional Qualifying Round Final.

    Anne Breitreiner and Sarah Austmann each had 12 points and Romy Bar 11 along with seven boards for the Germans.

    Hungary will try to overturn that deficit when they host the second leg in Sopron on Wednesday.

    The side that prevails on aggregate will compete in Group C of the 16-team EuroBasket Women against hosts Poland, Spain and Montenegro.

    Austmann had a game-high four steals and Germany captain Dorothea Richter three to go with her nine points.
