BAMBERG (Basketball Bundesliga) - Brose Baskets Bamberg opened the 2010-2011 with a 70-59 win over ratiopharm Ulm.
Anton Gavel had 15 points and Tibor Pleiß had 14 to go along with eight rebounds and three blocked shots for the home side, who outscored the visitors in all four quarters. Reyshawn Terry had a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

They also benefited from Ulm's inability to take care of the ball as they turned it over 22 times.
Meanwhile, EWE Baskets Oldenburg came from behind to edge out Deutsche Bank Skyliners 70-67 in Frankfurt.
The visitors reeled off nine unanswered points in the final two minutes of the game to cap off a 20-14 fourth quarter run and stun the hosts, who had led through the first three periods.
Oliver Stevic led all scorers with 17 points and was perfect from the field, hitting on all six of his attempts. Louis Campbell and Steven Smith both finished with 11 points and six rebounds in the winning cause.
Elsewhere, five players scored in double-digits as visiting BG Göttingen brushed aside TBB Trier 70-46.
Newcomer Louis Dale had a game-high 19 points and Dwayne Anderson recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The home side trailed 32-30 at the break but their offense stalled in the second half as they were held to just 16 total points in the last 20 minutes.
