BONN (Beko Basketball Bundesliga) - Brose Baskets edged out Telekom Baskets Bonn 84-82 to complete a 3-0 sweep in their best-of-five game series and become the first team to reach the semi-finals.

Predrag Suput had 21 points and scored inside on an all-important putback in the closing stages of the game to put the visitors up 83-80. Bonn's Tim Ohlbrecht then hit a pair of free-throws before Anton Gavel was fouled. He converted the first attempt from the charity stripe and missed the second one intentionally to run out the clock.

Gavel finished with 16 and John Goldberry added 15 for Bamberg. Bryce Taylor and Jared Jordon had 19 each for the hosts, while Ohlbrecht contributed 15.

Meanwhile, Alba Berlin needed overtime to win their first playoff game, beating Deutsche Bank Skyliners of Frankfurt 87-76 to avoid getting swept and sent to a shock first round exit.

In front of 11,875 spectators, Julius Jenkins had 22 points in the winning cause. Aubrey Reese forced overtime for the visitors by burying a buzzer-beating three-pointer that tied the game at 71.

However, the home side started the extra session by scoring nine unanswered points, with Rashad Wright hitting a three-pointer that essentially served as the final nail in the Skyliners' coffin. Dragan Labovic had a game-high 25 points in a losing effort.

Frankfurt still lead the series 2-1 though and can move into the semi-finals with a win at home on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, BG Göttingen took a 2-1 lead against Eisbaren Bremenhaven following an 83-78 home win.

The game was close through three quarters, with the visitors holding a 64-59 lead at they headed into the final frame. That though was when the EuroChallenge winners finally made their move, as they accounted for 24 of the 38 points in the period.

Taylor Rochestie paced the winners with a game-high 19 points.

Last but not least, New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig stunned EWE Baskets Oldenburg by beating them 70-66 at home to take a 2-1 lead in the series. The Phantoms can oust the reigning champions from the playoffs with a win in Braunschweig on Wednesday evening.
