FRANKFURT (BBL) - Home-court advantage in the Beko Basketball Bundesliga play-off finals have so far counted for very little.

Brose Baskets Bamberg, after falling in their own arena to Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Game 1, rebounded with a 77-68 victory at Frankfurt on Wednesday night to level the series.

Trailing 17-6 at the end of the opening quarter after a three-pointer by Skyliners' Pascal Roller, Bamberg turned the game on its head.

The visitors outscored Gordon Herbert's side 24-6 over the next 10 minutes to take command.

Frankfurt did reduce the deficit to 58-50 midway through the last quarter after a basket from Greg Jenkins but Jacobsen answered with a three-pointer.

The hosts continued to battle, but Bamberg had too much of a cushion.

Bamberg's Casey Jacobsen led all scorers with 24 points.

"For us, it was important to have a good start to the game," Bamberg boss Chris Fleming said.

"Today, we had a very good first half.

"We were lucky that we have Casey Jacobsen in our ranks.

"Frankfurt were still in the game in the second half, but we fought bravely and held on."

Herbert congratulated Fleming and Bamberg and said: "We have to pay tribute to Bamberg for their aggressive defense.

"We were indeed better in the second half, but in the first we had too many turnovers."

There were 5,002 fans that watched the game.

Supporters from both sides can now catch their breath with Game 3 on Sunday at Bamberg.

Roller finished with 19 points in defeat.
