LUSAKA (Zambia) - With two games remaining in the six-team qualifier, the hosts showed no signs of slowing down.
Here, FIBA.basketball breaks down Sunday's events in the Zambian capital.
Munali get their biggest win in the Road to BAL
The host club's 96–56 win was also the heaviest loss the Dolphins have suffered in the tournament to date.
On their way to achieving a 3–0 record, the Suns' point guard, Ofure Ujadughele, delivered a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Douglas Kandulu scored 28 points and Frank Siame scored 16.
Dallan Coleman was the top scorer for the Dolphins with 11 points.
Munali and the Dolphins had similar records (2–0). The similarities ended there. The home club came out firing on the court and leapt to a 25-point lead (50–25).
Star centre Kandulu was well served in the paint and scored an impressive 18 points. In defence, he ensured the Dolphins knew they would have to work hard for every point.
The Botswana team's floor general, Makur Jongchuk, discovered this when Kandulu's outstretched arm blocked his attempted shot in the paint.
The Dolphins were no match for the well-rounded Munali team, who dominated every facet of the game.
They dominated the turnover battle, converting them into 25 points against the Dolphins' 10 and 36 against the Botswana side's 12.
They also dominated in the paint, outscoring their opponents 60–24 and edging them 18–12 in second-chance points.
Beira recover with blow-out win over Kings
Ferroviario da Beira dominated in their game against Harare Kings. Beira were more motivated going into the fixture following their shock defeat against the host club, Munali Suns, on Saturday.
They routed the Kings 98–71, but fell two points short of equalling their record 29-point win (92–63) against the Panthers on Friday.
Ismael Nurmamade led the Mozambican team with 22 points, shooting 4-of-8 from two-point range and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Four other Beira players also scored in double figures: Joshua Thomas (18 points), Ayad Munguambe (18 points), Ke Tarrious Bouchum (15 points) and Celio Chirombe, all scored in double figures.
Seven minutes into the first quarter (6–6), the Mozambican club shifted into top gear with a three-point shot from Nurmamade, starting a 15-point run (21–6).
Beira finished the first half 55–40 and maintained their dominance throughout the remainder of the game. Manheira's team dominated, scoring 34 points from turnovers and 18 from fast breaks.
Bravehearts hold off Panthers for first win
Malawi's Bravehearts secured their first Group E win against the struggling South African side, the Soweto Panthers.
The Bravehearts secured an 80–74 victory, with Clayton Chikwengo leading the way with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Faad Billy scored 14 points, while Kelvin Masiyano and Arnold Khobili contributed 11 and 10 points respectively as the Bravehearts got their campaign off to a flying start.
Thabo Sithole of the Panthers led all scorers with 19 points as the Soweto side tried to make a comeback.
After dominating the first three quarters, the Bravehearts faltered in a quarter that had troubled them in their last two games.
The Malawian club had to hold off a late fightback by the now 0–3 Panthers, who reduced the deficit with a three-pointer from Kwazi Gumede (76–72) and a drive-and-layup from veteran Lebesa Selepe to make it a two-point game.
With seconds remaining, Bravehearts held firm as the Panthers suffered a meltdown when centre Liam Reid was adjudged to have committed a flagrant foul on Arnold Khobili as the Panthers prepared to inbound the ball on their opponents' side of the court.
Khobili missed one and scored one. Later, when the Bravehearts had possession, their Zimbabwean recruit, Chikwengo, showed quick feet. He raced into the key and leapt straight to the rim for a poster dunk on his defender, Thabo Sithole.
Faad Billy sealed the six-point win with a solitary free throw.
