FRA - Nancy win French Pro A title!

PARIS (LNB) - SLUC Nancy are celebrating one of their finest moments after knocking off defending champions Cholet to win the French title on Saturday at Bercy.

John Linehan scored the go-ahead basket in the final minute for Nancy, and then Sammy Mejia was off target for Cholet before the final buzzer.

Linehan and Victor Samnick scored 15 points apiece for the winners.

Fabian Causeur, who played at the FIBA World Championship for France last year, gave Cholet hope when he scored to tie the contest at 74-74 but Linehan's late bucket proved to be the game winner.

Linehan and Kenny Grant each drilled three shots from long range for Nancy.

Linehan and Victor Samnick had 15 points each for Nancy.
