PAU (FIBA World Championship) - France coach Vincent Collet has confirmed he will call up U20 star Andrew Albicy to replace the injured Rodrigue Beaubois.
Collet made the announcement after watching his team crush Tunisia 77-44 in a warm-up game in Pau.

Beaubois was ruled out when he broke his foot in practice on Friday night.

Albicy, 20, averaged 12.3 points per game to lead the French squad who won the U20 European Championship for Men in Croatia last month.

"I have called up Andrew Albicy to replace Rodrigue," Collet said. "Although Nando De Colo and Yannick Bokolo are combining well, it is important to guard against any other problems that may come up in World Championship.

"We are hoping Andrew can join us as soon as possible. I have chosen him because he has just won a European Championship with the U20s, and he was named the MVP."

Albicy should join the team in time to fly with them to Canada on Tuesday for a pair of games on Thursday and Friday in Toronto.

France then head to New York to face the United States.

And they look to be in good shape to do it after routing Tunisia.

Nicolas Batum had 14 points while Alexis Ajinca added 10.

Tunisia scored the first five points of the game, but it was the only lead they would have as France responded with a 13-0 run and dominated the rest of the way.
