    FRA - ASVEL beaten

    TOULON (Pro A) - Adecco-ASVEL Villeurbanne slipped to only their third defeat of the season when they were beaten 86-83 by joint leaders Nancy in Pro A on Sunday. Adecco-ASVEL, who are competing in the EuroCup this season, were ahead by eight points (72-64) going into the final quarter but they let their cushion slip as Nancy fought back.

    Adecco-ASVEL, who are competing in the EuroCup this season, were ahead by eight points (72-64) going into the final quarter but they let their cushion slip as Nancy fought back.

    Tariq Kirksay was in fine form for Nancy, who now have an 8-1 record, as the 27-year-old netted 24 points and six rebounds.

    His team-mate Cyril Julian grabbed 17 points and 11 rebounds, his fourth double-double of the season.

    Adecco-ASVEL, who stay fourth in the table with a 6-3 record, had 18 points and four assists from Yohann Sangare.

    In Sunday’s only other game, Hyeres-Toulon defeated Pau-Orthez 89-85 to go sixth with a 5-4 record.
