Tripoli team Moutahed meanwhile upset the ambitions of the Tab Baldwin-coached Sagesse 72-50. In other action, last year’s surprise package Hoops beat Byblos 72-70.
Americans Nate Johnson and Loren Woods were at the forefront of Riyadi’s win the former with a game-high 27 points and the latter 23 points. Veteran Joe Vogel accounted for 15 points and Ali Mahmoud 11, the latter also dishing out 6 assists.
Jordanian National Team star Rasheim Wright’s 23 points was the highest for Anibal.
Fadi El Khatib (pic above) and Jasmon Youngblood each scored 18 points to lead Champville’s win, the former rounding off his 30 minutes of stay on court with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Larry Cox had 15 points and Mazen Mneimneh a dozen.
Irick Willie’s game-high 29 points for Antranik went in vain.
Austin Johnson scored 21 points and Elie Rustom had an all-round 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for Moutahed.
Garnett Thompson’s 16 points was the highest for Sagesse. Ghaleb Rida had 9 rebounds to go with his 12 points.
American duo Calvin Cage and William Byrd Jr were the stars in Hoops’ win.
Byrd had 25 points and 7 rebounds, while Cage had 21 points and 5 boards.
Brandon Mason scored 21 points for Byblos and Calvin Warner 20.
