STOCKHOLM (Sweden) - The Semi-Finals for this year's FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket are set after the conclusion of the Quarter-Finals on Thursday.
Anna Gardziella posted a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds in Finland’s 78-63 victory over previously unbeaten Poland; Spain were dominant once more as they beat Italy 95-41, France overcame Latvia 73-57 and Serbia outscored Belgium 53-35 in the second half, en route to a 76-68 triumph.
The four Semi-Finalists have also sealed their spot in next year's FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup in China, with one more spot to be decided in the 5-8 Classification.

Sweden suffered overtime despair as they lost 91-83 to Slovenia. This was despite a solid effort from Nyomi Hahn, who had 30 points on 10-for-19 shooting, 8 rebounds and 5 steals, but it wasn’t enough.
After being shut out in the Round of 16 by Spain, Croatia’s Olivia Vukosa bounced back by leading her side to a deserved 70-62 win over Hungary in the Classification 9-16 game. Vukosa struggled again from the field, going 4-for-14, but attacked the basket and, as a result, went 12-for-12 for 21 points. She also pulled down 13 rebounds, got 2 steals and 2 blocks.
Germany bounced back from a disappointing loss in the Round of 16 by beating Montenegro 84-70 in the Classification 9-16 clash. Frederike Askamp amassed 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in an 84-70 success.
Jada Lynch was outstanding for Belgium, but it ultimately wasn't enough, as they lost out 76-68 to Serbia in the Quarter-Finals. Lynch had 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals in the defeat.
Despite Hungary falling to defeat, Panna Biczo performed admirably as she poured in a game-high 25 points on 10-for-13 shooting from the field. The guard had 2 rebounds and 2 steals but was unable to prevent Croatia from securing the victory.
