ESPOO (Finland) - With a 78-75 comeback win over Belgium, Finland improved to 3-1 in Group G, while dropping their opponents to 0-4. That means the Susijengi cannot be caught by the bottom-placed team over the last two gamedays of the First Round.

Finland made it back to the Second Round for the third time in a row since the current qualification format was introduced in the FIBA Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers.

They are also inching closer to a spot at their third World Cup final round. However, they are yet to finish in the Top 20 at the Final Round.
