Fiji under-20 women's basketball captain Sera Colata is one of four players who'll feature in the Oceania All Stars team at the Australia under-20 National Championship next week.
The four are now attending a weeklong training program in Australia under the watchful eyes of women's coach Peni Ratumaiyale.
The other players are Meleane Moce, Ratu Isikeli Mara and Jesoni Kuruyawa. Suva referee Navitalai Naivalu will officiate at the championships.
Basketball Fiji official Fanny Simpson said the four were selected and two officials were selected from the Oceania region.
"This is Sera's second time of playing in the Oceania team, the other players this will be a first for them and they're all looking forward to playing up against some top Aussie players," she said.
"As for Navitalai (Naivalu), refereeing in the tournament will be a great opportunity for him to learn and develop his skills and knowledge of the games in a professional organised tournament," she said.
Simpson said as head coach for the women's side, Ratumaiyale looks forward to the two-weeks stint.
"He'll also be learning a lot and it's his dream to give something back to basketball the game he loves," she said.
