FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025 Quarter-Final matchups set as Group Phase wraps

    The tournament will now head into its decisive stage on Friday, July 4, in Santiago, Chile.

    SANTIAGO (Chile) – The Quarter-Final matchups for the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025 have been set following the conclusion of the Group Phase on Wednesday. In Group A, Brazil (4-0) finished at the top, followed by Canada (3-1), Argentina (2-2), and the Dominican Republic (1-3). In Group B, the United States (4-0) secured first place, with Puerto Rico (3-1), Colombia (2-2), and Mexico (1-3) rounding out the standings. The Quarter-Finals, scheduled for Friday, July 4, will feature cross-group matchups based on the final group standings. The matchups are as follows:

In addition to advancing to the Semi-Finals, the Quarter-Final winners will also secure spots in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments. Two more spots for the World Cup Qualifiers will remain up for grabs and will be decided through the classification games. In this edition of the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025, the champion will qualify directly to the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 and will also take part in the World Cup Qualifying Tournaments, scheduled for March of next year, along with the teams that finish in second through sixth place in the tournament.
