FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2017 competition schedule confirmed

SAN JUAN (FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2017) - The finalized competition schedule for the Group Phase and Final Phase of the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2017 has been announced.

America’s premier women's basketball competition will tip-off in the Obras Sanitarias Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at 12:30 (local time) on August 6 with a rematch of the Final of the South American Women's Championship 2016 between Brazil and Venezuela.

The FIBA Women's AmeriCup will qualify three teams to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 to be played in Spain.

The Group Phase concludes on August 10, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Semifinals where the first place team from Group A will face the second place from Group B and viceversa. The winners will playe in the Final, while the last spot to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 will be up for grabs in the Third Place Bronze medal game on the last day of competition.
