MIES (Switzerland) - The 16-team field for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2027 has been completed after the final four teams booked their spots from the FIBA U18 Asia Cup 2026.

China, Korea, New Zealand, and tournament winner Australia reached the U18 Asia Cup semifinals, securing the final spots for next summer’s tournament in Pardubice, Czechia, from June 26 to July 4, 2027.
In welcoming the world for the 18th edition of the bienniel junior championship, Czechia are hosting the event for the second time following 2013.
The two teams from FIBA U18 AfroBasket 2026 are first-time champions Côte d'Ivoire and runners-up Senegal.
Canada will be buoyed by claiming gold at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup 2026 for their first championship in the category after beating rivals United States in the Final.
The other two teams qualifying for next summer's U19 World Cup from the U18 AmeriCup were Brazil and Puerto Rico.
Slovenia will be heading to Czechia as the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2026 winners - the country's first junior continental crown. Also qualifying from Europe were second-placed Italy as well as France, Spain and Germany.
The draw for the FIBA U19 World Cup 2027 will take place in 2027.
