    KAUNAS (2012 FIBA U17 World Championship) - Hosts Lithuania grabbed ninth place at the 2012 FIBA U17 World Championship by beating France while Korea booked their first win of the tournament against Egypt to finish 11th.

    Ernestas Serkevicius
    scored 19 points and Norbertas Giga added 12 as Lithuania got the better of France 75-64. The hosts converted 27 points off the visitors' turnovers compared to just 10 for the French, who were led by Damien Inglis with 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 steals.

    In a match-up of teams looking for their first win, Kim Nak Hyeon had 29 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 7 steals as Korea beat Egypt 89-83. Heo Hoon poured in 28 points and the low post duo of Park In Tae (14) and An Young Jun (13) combined for 27 points.

    Egypt finished as the only team without a win despite Ehab Amin collecting 20 points and 6 rebounds and Wessam Emad scoring 15 points.
