FIBA Statement regarding Venezuela's games in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers

    Statement

    Due to the current situation in Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes and the logistical challenges it has created, FIBA, in consultation with the concerned National Federations, has decided to relocate all games of Venezuela for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers Group C, to Cali, Colombia. The games will take place as follows:

    • Venezuela vs. Brazil – July 4

    • Venezuela vs. Chile – July 6

    • Venezuela vs. Colombia – July 8

    The game times will be confirmed at a later stage. All the other games of Group C remain scheduled as originally planned. FIBA extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by this tragedy and stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela during this difficult time. FIBA
