FIBA Statement regarding Venezuela's games in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers

    Due to the devastating earthquakes that have affected Venezuela, FIBA, in consultation with the Venezuelan Basketball Federation, has decided to reschedule the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers game between Venezuela and Colombia, originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 30.   The game will take place in Puerto La Cruz on Thursday, July 9, time TBC.    Venezuela's games against Brazil and Chile remain scheduled as originally planned.    FIBA extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by this tragedy and stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela during this difficult time.
