MADRID (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - FIBA and the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) on Wednesday hosted the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup Sponsor Workshop II in Madrid, with the day-long event proving to be a huge hit.
Members of FIBA's Media and Marketing Services and of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for Spain 2014 teamed up to organise and present the workshop.
The participants discussed the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup as a whole, the various aspects involved in the build-up to the championship as well as the delivery and planning of sponsorship rights and activation plan and approvals.
In attendance were representatives of the partners and sponsors associated with FIBA's flagship competition.
They consisted of:

"The second 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup sponsor workshop was really fruitful. It was essential in order to capture the current situation and plan the next steps," said Beko global brand manager Metin Ascioglu.
"Seeing the excitement and being with all the other sponsors was inspiring as well. We hope to have a very successful FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain."
The FIBA Basketball World Cup will take place in Spain from 30 August to 14 September 2014.
The Preliminary Round will be played in Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Granada and Sevilla (30 August-4 September). The Final Round will take place in the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and in the Palacio de los Deportes in Madrid (6-14 September).
