MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA has leapt a massive 12 places in the iWorkinSport (iWiS) Most Attractive Employers in Sport rankings, with its new top five status reflecting the extensive work being carried out.
This is the third edition of the iWiS rankings, which are undertaken to identify the most attractive organizations for professionals seeking to work in or already employed in the sports industry. The iWiS aims to shed light on sports organizations and sports-related entities with robust global employer branding.
The rise of FIBA in the list has come off the back of a continuous desire to both attract new talent and to also support and nurture its current staff with various programs and development opportunities.
Additionally, to support its Women in Basketball strategic priority, FIBA has placed a strong emphasis on the successful recruitment of women, something which clearly helped to attain 4th place as the Best Employer for Women category.
It has also focused on delivering diversity and inclusion training to existing employees to further enhance its inclusive work environment and culture.
As well as being placed in 5th place in the overall rankings, FIBA is placed fourth in the list of the Top 20 Sports Governing Bodies category.
"There are numerous reasons why working for FIBA is highly desirable," explained Didier Rossi, Global Head of Human Resources.
"Firstly, our passion and dedication towards the sport is a key factor. Moreover, we foster an inclusive culture that values diversity and encourages collaboration, offering plenty of opportunities for professional growth and advancement through various programs.
"FIBA also prioritizes the well-being of its employees by providing competitive compensation packages, comprehensive training and development programs and a positive work environment.
"Additionally, working at FIBA is intellectually stimulating and impactful as employees contribute towards the global development of basketball," he concluded.
