    FIBA Secretary General Baumann appointed Chair of IOC's Evaluation Commission for Olympic Games 2024

    MIES - FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann on Tuesday was appointed as the new Chair of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s Evaluation Commission for the Olympic Games 2024.

    MIES - FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann on Tuesday was appointed as the new Chair of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s Evaluation Commission for the Olympic Games 2024.

    IOC President Thomas Bach informed the IOC Executive Board of the appointment following Frank Fredericks' decision to step down.

    Baumann, 49, has been an IOC Member since 2007. Over the past decade, he has served as a member of the IOC Evaluation Commissions for the Olympic Games 2008 and 2020 and was already a member of the IOC Evaluation Commission for the Olympic Games 2024.

    He is the President of the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (YOGOC) and last year was elected President of SportAccord.
