kaunas2012.fiba.com is your source for all the latest news and information about the FIBA U17 World Championship that will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania (29 June-8 July).

Meanwhile, you can find all you need to know about the FIBA U17 World Championship for Women - which will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands (17-26 August) - by checking out amsterdam2012.fiba.com.

During the tournaments, the websites will provide full comprehensive coverage both on and off the court, with news, round-ups, interviews, photos and videos.

Players, coaches but also members of the media and fans can find all the information they need in the lead-up to these talent-rich basketball events.

Before the tournaments get underway this summer, the websites will provide early previews of rosters, interviews with coaches as well as inside information about some of the star players to watch out for.

This is the second edition of the respective FIBA U17 World Championships.

In the inaugural events in 2010, the USA prevailed in both the men's event in Hamburg, Germany and the women's in Toulouse/Rodez, France.
