    MUNICH (2007 EuroBasket) - The EuroBasket 2007 Draw will take place on Thursday, October 19th, at 12:00 local time in Madrid, Spain at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos de Madrid.

    The Draw will be broadcast live nationally on La Sexta and can also be followed in real-time on fibaeurope.com.

    A number of prominent Spanish players and dignitaries are scheduled to be in attendance.

    Fifteen countries have already qualified for the final round and will be drawn into four groups of four teams.

    The qualified countries are:

    Croatia
    Czech Republic
    France
    Germany
    Greece
    Italy
    Latvia
    Lithuania
    Poland
    Portugal
    Russia
    Serbia
    Slovenia
    Spain
    Turkey

    The final team will come from the Additional Qualifying Round, which features the following countries:

    Belgium
    Bosnia & Herzegovina
    Bulgaria
    Denmark
    Estonia
    FYR of Macedonia
    Hungary
    Israel
    Sweden
    Ukraine

    The teams will be drawn into three groups and will play round robin games (home and away) beginning on August 8th, 2007.

    The three group winners will qualify to the Additional Qualifying Tournament (AQT) which will take place from August 29-31, 2007.

    The winner of the AQT will qualify for EuroBasket 2007.

    EuroBasket 2007 takes place from September 3-16, 2007 in Spain.
