    JORDAN
    FIBA ASIA CHAMPIONSHIP 2009, MEN

    TEAM CHARACTERISTICS
Solid, consistent team that plays to their strengths on both ends. Anchored by post play and solid guard production. Turn turnovers into baskets and will be patient in half court. Share the ball and put a premium on taking good shots. Rebound well on both ends of the floor.

    TRANSITION
A good share of their offense comes from their transition game. Quick outlet passes and long passes up the floor produce easy baskets. Their ability to advance the ball quickly puts great pressure on the opponent's defense. Perimeter players push the ball hard up middle of the floor, forcing the defense to stop the ball and close out on the pass ahead. Post run the floor and get put backs off missed shots.

    OFFENSIVE TENDENCIES
Half court offense relies on the on ball screen and roll or throw back. Posts are active in the high and low post and can shoot inside and outside. Cohesive offensive unit that shares the ball well and works for good shots. Many drives are to the rim for lay ups or passes to open teammates. Unselfish team that shares the ball and works for quality shot every possession. Crash the offensive boards hard.

    SET PLAYS
    1. On ball screen followed by flare screen for shooter.
    2. High post entry, flex cut, hand off followed by reverse baseline cut for shot.
    3. Box set, cross screen block to block, screener gets double screen at free throw line.
    4. Triple baseline screening action.
    5. Box set, post pop and catch, ball reversal, back screen for high post for lob pass.

    ZONE OFFENSE
Basic 3 out/2 in zone offensive attack with posts high and low. Low post player follows ball along the baseline. High post player works hard to flash, catch, and drive to rim or pass to open shooter.

    OB PLAYS
Primary alignment is stack with perimeter cutter over top for shot. When ball is reversed, screens on right and left block for inbounds passer. Action flows into half court offense.

    DEFENSIVE CHARACTERISTICS
Solid man to man team that uses post to disrupt shots and penetration in the lane. Perimeter players active on ball with good pressure. Help comes from weak side rotations and posts often challenge any movement to the basket.
