ANKARA (2010 FIBA World Championship for Men) - Guests who have traveled to Ankara for the 15th Turgut Atakol Tournament have had nothing but good things to say about Ankara Arena.
The state-of-the art facility - which was built specifically for the 2010 FIBA World Championship - is currently playing host to the U20 national teams from Croatia, France, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Poland for the Turgut Atagol Tournament.
And the coaches have been unanimous in saying the brand new sports centre has everything that is needed and bares no difference to the best NBA arenas.
"I hope that one day we will have the chance to see a sports centre as good as Ankara Arena in France," said French head coach Jean-Aimé Toupane.
"This centre is looking very good," added Croatia boss Vladimir Vanjak, whose team played in the very first official game held in the Ankara Arena.
Turkey will play all its Group C games in the capital's brand new arena. They will go up against China, Greece, Ivory Coast, Puerto Rico and Russia.
"I knew that the World Championship was going to be played in this arena before I came to Turkey. I was very curious about the arena and I see that it really is very good," offered Russia head coach Boris Livanov.
