    FIBA and Walmonos Sports enter Mini Basketball partnership

    BEIJING (China) - FIBA has announced that Walmonos Sports is a new strategic partner of Mini Basketball in China. This three-year agreement will run through until September 2023.

    BEIJING (China) - FIBA has announced that Walmonos Sports is a new strategic partner of Mini Basketball in China. This three-year agreement will run through until September 2023. 

    Following the signing of the cooperation agreement, Walmonos Sports will introduce a FIBA training and certification system, in collaboration with the World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC), to improve the skills of its coaches and promote the development of Mini Basketball in China. These services will be made available to preschool teachers, along with Mini Basketball camps being organized across the country. 

    Walmonos Sports is dedicated to the research and promotion of basketball to children of ages three to eight, covering course development, coaches education, basketball training, club operations and sports events and related equipment development. In 2020, Walmonos Sports expanded its operations to over 150 Chinese cities, cooperating with more than 15,000 preschools.

    FIBA China Managing Director Kelvin Fang said: "I would like to welcome Walmonos as the leading service provider of Mini Basketball in China. This cooperation will enable FIBA to bring world-class and professional training to Walmonos coaches, helping them improve their teaching skills, gain profound basketball knowledge and spread the appeal of basketball to more Chinese youngsters. In the years to come, we hope that more and more children will benefit from this great project."
