    FIBA Americas League – Games will be broadcasted by FOX-Sports

    SAN JUAN (FIBA Americas League) - On Tuesday, December 4, the “Liga de las Americas” (FIBA Americas League) tips-off, when action begins in the city of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. This tournament will be broadcasted by FOX Sports to the Americas; including the United States, as well as the North and South Pole.

    This League, which is organized by FIBA – Americas, will showcase 16 teams of excellent quality from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States, and Uruguay, all of which will be divided in four “four teams” preliminary rounds.

    The city of Miami will be hosting the second tournament of the preliminary round, from December 11 to 13, with the following teams: Arecibo Capitanes (PUR), Fuerza Regia (MEX), Miami Tropics (USA), and the Xalapa Halcones (MEX).

    The third preliminary-round tournament will be hosted by the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from December 18 to 20, with the presence of Defensivo Sporting (URU), Boca Juniors (ARG), Minas Tenis (BRA), and Flamengo (BRA).

    The fourth, and final, tournament from the preliminary round will be hosted in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, from January 8 to 10. There, the local, Mar del Plata Peñarol (ARG) will face Brasilia Universo (BRA), Liceo Mixto (CHI), and Sunchales Libertad (ARG).

    The Clubs which will be active in the tournament to be held in Guaynabo, P.R., are: Santiago Metros (DOM), Mexicali Soles (MEX), PBL All-Stars (Premier League Basketball, USA), and the Santurce Cangrejeros, current champions of the Superior League in Puerto Rico.

    Each day of this first tournament’s competition, there will be two games each, with the first one beginning at 7:00 p.m., and the second one at 9:10 p.m., local time. Those games will be held on Tuesday (4), Thursday (6), and Friday (7), in the Mario “Quijote” Morales Coliseum.

    FOX-Sports (FSE) will not be broadcasting the first game on Tuesday (4), between the PBL All – Stars against the Metros. The second one, Cangrejeros vs. Soles, will indeed be broadcasted, but at 11 p.m. (PT). On Thursday (6), the game between Metros and Sole will not be broadcasted also, with Cangrejeros vs. PBL, (previously recorded) at 11:00 p.m. (PT).

    The two games from Friday (7) will be broadcasted; the first one, Cangrejeros vs. Metros, at 9:00 (PT), and the second, PBL vs. Soles, at 11:00 p.m. (PT).

    For the Northern Region of the Americas (Mexico, Venezuela, and Central America) all 6 games will be broadcasted live, but in Mexican time, which is two hours behind the local time in Puerto Rico.

    Tuesday 4: PBL (USA) vs. Metros (DOM), 5:00 p.m., Cangrejeros (PUR) vs. Soles (MEX), 7:10 p.m.

    Thursday 6: Metros (DOM) vs. Soles (MEX), 5:00 p.m. PBL (USA) vs. Cangrejeros (PUR), 7:10 p.m.

    Friday 7, Soles (MEX) vs. PBL (USA), 5:00 p.m. Metros (DOM) vs, Cangrejeros (PUR) vs. Metros (DOM)

    Finally, for the Southern Region (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay) the games will be broadcasted live, and previously recorded, but always in Argentinean time::

    Tuesday 4: Cangrejeros (PUR) vs. Soles (MEX), 10:10 p.m.; and Wednesday 5, PBL (USA) vs. Metros (DOM), 2:00 p.m.

    Thursday 6: live, PBL (USA) vs. Cangrejeros (PUR), 10:10 p.m.; and Friday 8, at 1:00 p.m., the game between the Metros (DOM) and Soles (MEX), previously recorded the day before.

    Friday 7, live, Cangrejeros (PUR) vs. Metros (DOM), at 10:10 p.m.

    Fox Sports will also broadcast the games which will take place in Miami, Belo Horizonte, and Mar del Plata. ----------
