    MEXICO CITY (Centrobasket for Women) - Jamaica became in the third team to book their ticket to the FIBA Americas Championship after beating Puerto Rico 71-67 in the Centrobasket's third-place play-off.

    Simone Ann-Marie Edwards led the scoring for Jamaica with 17.

    Cynthia Marie Valentin poured in 31 for Puerto Rico but ended up on the losing side.

    Jamaica will join Cuba and Mexico as the third team to qualify for the FIBA Americas Championship from the North and Central American and the Caribbean Zone.

    Champions Cuba and Mexico already booked their places with victories in the Centrobasket's semi-finals.
