    VALDIVIA (2007 FIBA Americas Championship for Women) - The 2007 FIBA Americas Championship for Women draw will be held tonight at 21:30 hours in Hotel Villa del Rio in Valdivia, Chile.

    The eight participating teams (Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and USA) will be divided into two groups of four teams each.

    FIBA Americas Secretary General, Alberto Garcia, will be along with Miguel Herrera, President of the Chilean Basketball Federation and Ernesto Moreno, Director of Chiledeportes. Also the authorities of the Municipality in Valdivia will be in the event.

    2007 FIBA Americas Championship for Women will be played from September 25-29 in Valdivia and the top team qualifies for the 2008 Olympic Games.

    Players like Tamara Suton-Brown (Canada), Diana Taurasi (USA), Tatiana Gómez (Chile), Simone Edwards (Jamaica), Erika Gómez (México), Yakelyn Plutín (Cuba), Erika de Souza (Brasil), among others will be in the tournament.
