FIBA Africa Championship – 16 team field complete

ABIDJAN (FIBA Africa Championship) - Senegal and South Africa have received a wild card for the FIBA Africa Championship (Afrobasket) to be held in Libya from 5th to 15th August 2009.

With those two teams the 16-team field of Afrobasket is now complete:

3. Vice – Champion ‘07 : Cameroon
4. Third Place ‘07 : Cape Verde

The draw to determine the four groups of four teams will be held on 26th June in Tripoli.
