FAT 063/09 (Fisher, Entersport v/ BC Vojvodina)

In view of the fact that KK Vojvodina Srbijagas continues to be in breach of its obligation to honour the FAT award, FIBA imposed a ban on registration of new players on KK Vojvodina Srbijagas in accordance with article L.2.7.1 of FIBA Internal Regulations.

Summary of the case:
The American player Charron Fisher and the players’ agency Entersport Management filed a claim against the Serbian club KK Vojvodina Srbijagas for outstanding salaries and agent fees.

The player requested full payment of his salaries for the 2008/2009 season, alleging that the club did not pay the salaries stipulated in the employment agreement.

Despite several invitations by the FAT, BC Vojvodina did not file an answer to the request for arbitration. The Arbitrator decided to uphold the claim in its entirety.
